New integration embeds Cargado's cross-border Mexico and Canada freight benchmarks directly into GoodShip's procurement and network optimization workflows

Today, GoodShip announced a new data partnership with DAT Freight & Analytics to surface DAT iQ spot and contract rates within GoodShip’s all-in-one freight orchestration platform. The integration will expand GoodShip customers’ ability to benchmark contract and spot rates, analyze carrier bids, and receive smart recommendations for top savings opportunities.

GoodShip, the all-in-one platform for freight network orchestration and procurement, today announced an $8M Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The round brings GoodShip’s total funding to $15.4M and includes continued investment from Ironspring Ventures, Chicago Ventures, FUSE VC, and Cercano Management, with new participation from 53 Stations, Andrew Silver, Nichole Wischoff, and other angels. The investment will be used to expand the team, accelerate feature development, and support a growing roster of customers that includes many of the nation’s largest shippers.

GoodShip, the all-in-one platform for network analytics, carrier management, and transportation procurement, announced their first major product update today. The changes include sweeping expansions to their transportation procurement tool and the addition of a robust scenario builder which recommends award allocations to optimize for savings and performance. This new functionality takes bid analysis out of spreadsheets and email, providing shippers with the ability to precisely prioritize awards based on real world constraints, assess the full range of potential award outcomes, and achieve their network objectives.

The round builds upon previous or continuing investments from the founders and executives of several industry-leading tech companies including FreightWaves founder Craig Fuller, Project44 Founder Jett McCandless, Convoy founder Dan Lewis, and Stord founder Sean Henry, among others. GoodShip will use the funds to accelerate development of new bid management features, refine and expand its AI-powered smart recommendation engine, and scale go-to-market efforts for mid-market and enterprise shippers.

The round was led by FUSE, with participation from Cercano Management, Flexport Fund, Innovation Endeavors, Sope Creek Capital, Kindergarten Ventures, and founders and CEOs of several industry unicorns including Convoy, Stord, Project44, and more. GoodShip will use the funding to bolster hiring efforts and accelerate development of its analytics and procurement product with insights and collaboration from early shipper and carrier design partners.
