EDF Renewables North America (EDFR) today announced Morris Ridge Solar project is fully operational and delivering electricity to the New York power grid. The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) awarded Morris Ridge a long-term contract as part of the 2018 Renewable Energy Standard Solicitation.

EDF Renewables North America has secured a 20-year Energy Storage Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Arizona Public Service (APS) for the Beehive Battery Energy Storage System. Located in the City of Peoria, Maricopa County, Arizona, the stand-alone battery energy storage system (BESS) will have capacity of 250 MW/4-hour duration.

EDF Renewables North America today announced a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) for the Milligan 1 Wind project (Milligan 1). EDF Renewables developed Milligan 1 and is the owner/operator of the 300 megawatt (MW) project located in Nebraska. The project has been in operation since 2021.

Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Inc. (PSEI), the renewable energy infrastructure investment group of Power Sustainable (PS), and EDF Renewables North America (EDF Renewables), announced today the phase 1 closing of a strategic investment whereby PSEI acquired a 50-percent stake in the Desert Quartzite Solar+Storage Project. This investment was executed together with Potentia Renewables Inc, (Potentia), PSEI’s integrated developer and operator. The final phase of the investment will close upon the project’s completion and commercial operation.

When all three phases are completed at the end of 2024, the 577 MWac project will be one of the largest utility-scale solar developments east of the Mississippi River.

EDF Renewables North America today announced a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) for a portion of the Bonanza Solar and Storage project. The carbon-free electricity generated by the 125 MWac solar photovoltaic (PV) system and 65 MW 4-hour Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is guaranteed to begin delivery to SCPPA’s participating members, Pasadena Water & Power and Azusa Light & Water, by December 31, 2028. The Bonanza Solar and Storage project, located in Clark County, Nevada, will have a total capacity of 300 MWac solar PV along with a 195 MW 4-hour BESS.

EDF Renewables North America and Enbridge Inc. (TSX: ENB) (NYSE: ENB) today announced that Phase 1 of Fox Squirrel Solar, the largest solar complex in Ohio, is fully operational and delivering decarbonized electricity to the PJM grid. Fox Squirrel Solar, a ground-mounted solar facility with total capacity of 749 MWdc/577 MWac, is being constructed in three phases in Madison County, Ohio; the initial phase generates 150 MWac of solar energy.

EDF Renewables North America has announced a $50,000 contribution towards an endowment in partnership with Doña Ana Community College (DACC) and the New Mexico State University Foundation. The endowment aims to provide scholarships for students in the Advanced Technologies division at DACC pursuing either a Certificate of Completion or Associate in Applied Science, with a focus on Building Construction Technology or Electrical Programs.

The project, located in Madison County, Ohio, is set to become EDF Renewables' largest onshore renewable project and Ohio's largest solar complex.

EDF Renewables North America, along with NV Energy, McCarthy Building Companies and the Moapa Band of Paiute Indians celebrated the completion of the Arrow Canyon Solar+Storage Project with a ribbon cutting ceremony. (together “Desjardins”) have closed on the acquisition of 37.5% of EDF Renewables Canada Inc.’s stake in the Cypress 1 & 2 Wind Projects. The Projects, located southeast of Medicine Hat, Alberta in Cypress County, comprise a total 247-megawatt (MW) capacity.

EDF Renewables North America today announced two agreements with Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), a subsidiary of American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP), by which I&M will add 554 MWdc (425 MWac) of solar energy to its clean energy mix. I&M will purchase the output from Sculpin Solar, 236 MWdc (180 MWac) under a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA); and will purchase 100% of the equity interests in Lake Trout Solar, 318 MWdc (245 MWac) following completion of construction activities under a Purchase and Sale Agreement (PSA).

EDF Renewables North America today announced a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) for the energy and renewable attributes related to the 117 megawatts (MWac) /148 MWdc Sapphire Solar project. Sapphire Solar is guaranteed to begin delivery of carbon-free electricity to SCPPA’s Participating Members, Anaheim, Pasadena and Vernon, by December 31, 2026. In addition to the solar production, SCPPA reserves the option to a 59 MWac x 4-hour battery energy storage system.

EDF Renewables North America announced today that Hydro-Québec selected three of its wind projects representing 570 megawatts (MW) for wind energy supply contracts under two calls for tenders launched in December 2021. EDF Renewables won three of the seven wind project awards representing nearly 50% of the total wind capacity awarded. The projects are scheduled for commissioning in December 2026.

EDF Renewables North America today announced the execution of a 20-year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science. The VPPA covers the full output of the 200-megawatt ac/256 MWdc Millers Branch Solar Project, which is located in Texas and slated for commercial operation in December 2025. With the addition of Miller’s Branch to Thermo Fisher’s renewable energy procurement portfolio, the Company has purchased enough renewable energy to match 100% of its current annual electricity consumption in the U.S. by 2026.

EDF Renewables North America (EDF Renewables) announced today it has completed the transaction with Boralex Inc. (Boralex) (TSX: BLX) by which Boralex has acquired EDF Renewables’ 50-percent ownership interests in five operating wind power projects totaling 447 megawatts (MW) in Texas and New Mexico.

EDF Renewables North America (EDFR) and MEAG, acting in its capacity as Munich Re’s global asset manager, today announced the closing on a strategic investment whereby a subsidiary of Munich Re acquired a 50% stake in two renewable energy projects in California totaling 310 megawatts (MWdc) of solar and 50 MW / 200 MWh of battery storage.

EDF Renewables North America today announced it has entered into an agreement with Luminace, a Brookfield Renewable company, by which Luminace will acquire a 21.6 megawatt (MWdc) portfolio of three community solar projects. EDF Renewables North America and Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC) today announced the start of construction on 22.5 megawatts (MW) of local solar projects representing the first phase of projects across the ODEC member service territories in Virginia and Delaware. EDF Renewables North America and Ameren Missouri, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation (NYSE: AEE), announced today an agreement by which Ameren will acquire, after construction, the 200 megawatt (MWac) / 270 MWdc Huck Finn Solar Project. The deal is subject to closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
