National nonprofit Carry The Load opened registration for its 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, presented by Government Employees Health Association, Inc. (G.E.H.A). The initiative offers the public a chance to honor our nation’s heroes and the lives of those lost on Sept. 11, 2001, by providing volunteer opportunities at more than 140 cemeteries across the nation, including over 100 participating national cemeteries.

Carry The Load, a non-profit that provides active ways to connect Americans to the sacrifices of our military, veterans, first responders, and their families, kicks off its Memorial May campaign on Thursday, April 27 to raise awareness for the true meaning of Memorial Day. Thousands of volunteers will walk in Carry The Load’s National Relay that spans 20,000 miles, 48 states and 85 rallies. The five relay routes converge at the Dallas Memorial March on Memorial Day weekend.

Carry The Load, a non-profit that provides active ways to connect Americans to the sacrifices of our nation’s military, veterans, first responders and their families, is hosting events for people across the nation to respectfully observe Patriot Day, a holiday observed on September 11 to commemorate the lives of those who died in the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Virginia and those who perished when the hijacked United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania.

The 32-day, 20,000-mile National Relay includes five routes crossing 48 states and 100 rallies before culminating at the Dallas Memorial March on Memorial Day weekend.
