To put the need for these products into context, Impact Windows Center points to the region’s continued exposure to severe winds, even though Orlando is located inland. According to National Weather Service storm data, Hurricane Irma produced a peak wind gust of 79 mph at Orlando International Airport in September 2017. Against this backdrop, the company has presented its PGT window collection, which features impact-resistant construction and Florida Product Approval certification.

The PGT 7700A Impact-Resistant Aluminum Single Hung Window, priced from $332.84, features a low-profile sweep lock, a pre-tensioned spiral balance system for smooth operation, and an included insect screen, and is available in twelve sizes with white or bronze frames. The PGT 7710A Horizontal Roller Window, priced from $344.39, uses tandem stainless-steel rollers and a low-profile sweep lock with a visible unlock indicator, and is offered in two- or three-lite configurations with the same frame color and glass tint options.

Meanwhile, the Sparta 4100A Single Hung Window, priced from $311.29, and the Sparta 4110A Horizontal Roller Window, priced from $314.59, include PGT sweep lock hardware, commercial-grade aluminum framing, and gasket-sealed frame corners at a lower price point than the standard 7700A and 7710A models. The 4100A is also available in Standard, Brittany, or Prairie muntin grid patterns.

All four models carry Florida Product Approval certification to High-Velocity Hurricane Zone standards, are impact-tested for structural, air, and water performance, and are available with white or bronze frames alongside clear, gray, or Low-E glass tint options.

Each window is built to order, with custom sizes available at no additional charge and a 50 percent deposit required to begin production. A separate discount program is available for contractors and builders purchasing in volume.
