-- Frontnode, operated by Quickbyte Global OU, today announced that the company has achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification as part of its broader governance, cybersecurity and compliance strategy in line with Europe’s evolving Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) framework.

The company, which currently serves more than 100,000 customers across Europe and beyond, has continued strengthening its operational and governance structure while investing into cybersecurity, compliance, operational resilience and institutional readiness.

Frontnode currently operates under an Estonian virtual asset service provider authorisation issued by the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit and provides services related to Bitcoin exchange, custody and transfers through its platform.

ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognised information security standard focused on risk management, internal controls, operational security and continuous improvement of information security systems.

“Europe’s digital asset sector is entering a new phase where governance, operational maturity and long-term resilience matter just as much as innovation,” said Tanel Tarkmees, CEO and Management Board Member at Frontnode.

“Achieving ISO/IEC 27001 certification is an important milestone in our long-term commitment to operational quality, security and regulatory readiness.”

The company has also expanded its governance and advisory structure with additional expertise across compliance, risk management, finance, operations, blockchain infrastructure and cybersecurity.

Frontnode’s broader ecosystem includes partnerships and outsourced operational support functions covering technology, finance, internal audit and compliance readiness.

According to the company, the strengthening of governance and operational controls is intended to support long-term growth, regulatory alignment and broader European expansion opportunities under the MiCA framework.

“We believe the European market will increasingly favour transparent, well-governed and operationally resilient digital asset providers. Our focus is on building a sustainable infrastructure with a long-term perspective.” said Tarkmees.

Frontnode continues the MiCA licensing process and related European passporting over the coming quarters.
