-- Recently — ChaPanda recently opened its newest store in the Carrousel du Louvre, becoming the first Chinese modern tea brand to establish a presence at the shopping mall. Since launching its first Paris location in the 13th arrondissement in September 2025, ChaPanda has expanded its services to prominent landmarks including Galeries Lafayette, the Palais Garnier, and now the Carrousel du Louvre. In just over a year, the brand has become the largest Chinese modern tea franchise in Paris. The launch of the Carrousel de Louvre store coincides with a broader global push. ChaPanda has now signed agreements to open over 130 overseas stores, and currently operates more than 100 locations across 13 countries and regions.

"The Louvre is world-renowned for its exceptional collection of paintings and sculptures and is one of the most visited museums in the world. We are thrilled and deeply honored to open a ChaPanda store at the Carrousel du Louvre. This is a real mark of approval for our brand," said Wang Huan, CEO of ChaPanda Overseas. "This will allow visitors from around the world to experience the appeal of modern Chinese tea firsthand, while further elevating our global brand presence.”
Who Is ChaPanda, and Why the Carrousel du Louvre?
First, ChaPanda is one of the three most popular modern tea brands in China in terms of market share.
ChaPanda’s story began in Chengdu, Sichuan, known as the “Land of Abundance”, in 2008. Since its initial launch, ChaPanda has grown into a massive franchise operating over 8,800 stores worldwide and becoming a publicly listed company in Hong Kong in 2024. It has sold more than 400 million cups of its signature Mango Pomelo Sago series globally to date.
Second, ChaPanda has become a crowd favorite in Seoul, South Korea.
In January 2024, ChaPanda opened its first overseas store in Seoul. According to data released by the company, ChaPanda has signed over 60 agreements to open stores in South Korea, making it the Chinese food and beverage chain with the largest number of locations in the country. Local consumers account for 90% of its customer base, and the brand has also won favor among K-pop idols and gained a strong following in South Korea. Today, Korean consumers regard ChaPanda as a premium Chinese brand offering high-quality beverages made with fresh fruit.
Wang Huan said that ChaPanda has adopted a deep localization strategy from day one of its international expansion. The brand continuously strives to create products that win over local consumers, developing menus tailored to each country's market. ChaPanda's agile R&D team and robust global supply chain are crucial components to this strategy. Whenever ChaPanda's R&D team enters a new market, it conducts in-depth research into local consumer preferences and sources regional ingredients to develop new products. For example, beverages made with the Jeju Hallabong tangerine variety became a hit among Korean consumers. The R&D team also adapts to local taste preferences by fine-tuning standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on local water quality and using ingredients such as fruit and dairy products. The newly opened Carrousel du Louvre store follows the same localization strategy, featuring exclusive limited-edition drinks and merchandise developed specifically for the Paris launch.
ChaPanda identifies France as a strategic market with immense potential. Unlike proven markets such as South Korea and Malaysia, where ChaPanda is focused on scaling up, the brand is currently prioritizing flagship stores and long-term investment in France. "Building a modern tea brand into a truly global enterprise takes time. In a strategic market like France, securing landmark locations matters far more than short-term store counts," noted Wang Huan. “The launch of limited-edition beverages and merchandise at the Carrousel du Louvre is part of our effort to explore local consumer preferences and opportunities in France. Consumers can expect to see more new products and experiences from us in the future.”
Beyond South Korea, ChaPanda has expanded into 13 countries and regions, including Malaysia, Singapore, France, the United States, Canada, Vietnam and Australia. "ChaPanda's long-term goal overseas is to build a truly global brand and a global supply chain," Wang added. "We hope that one day, the influence of our Paris stores can reach New York, that our operational insights in New York can benefit our business in Singapore, and that our international supply chain can even bring value back to our stores in China. I look forward to that day."
