Jaron and Maggie Clayton have announced their decision to list their popular, award-winning Running Dogs Brewery for sale or lease. After a long successful run operating the 20-barrel steam brewery and warehouse, the viral comedy couple, known to their close to 10 million followers as The Blonde Brewer, has decided to shift their focus to family and entertainment.
Jaron and Maggie recently decided to start a family, which meant making some changes in their lives. The couple jointly decided to focus on building a family and their social media content creation career, which has garnered them more than nine million followers on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Threads, and X (formerly Twitter).
"It's hard to let Running Dogs Brewery go, but we have come to the realization that life is taking us in a different direction," said Jaron. "Other than our pups, we consider it our first child, but it is time for us to focus more on building our family and growing our entertainment career."
Running Dogs Brewery began as a couple's hobby. With a one-barrel system and a dream, Jaron and Maggie put their creative strengths together to establish their brewery into a recognized brand. The brewery has since grown into a 20-barrel steam brewhouse, which sits on a one-acre property owned by the couple and includes a spacious 5,000 sqft. warehouse. Running Dogs Brewery is also the 2019 winner of the National NAV Small Business Award, where it was recognized for its creative and innovative events and contributions to local community growth.
"Running Dogs Brewery is a labor of love that we are proud to share. We have built the brewery into being part of the community and we are happy to pass on the torch to new owners who will continue the work we began," added Jaron.
Part of the brewery's charms is in its location in the uptown Houlton District of St. Helens, Oregon 97051. The area is known for its ties to the popular movie 'Twilight' and Disney's 'Halloweentown,' making it a popular destination for fans looking to visit Bella Swan's house and explore other filming locations in the area. The city's annual 'Halloweentown' event in October, which gives tourists an authentic experience of being in the movie, has become an activity that opens up the town and businesses in the area to more people.
While stepping away from brewery ownership, The Blonde Brewer couple remains dedicated to exploring their creativity and passion for beer. Jaron explained that their plan to brew a "Blonde Brewer" beer for their fans is still in place, and the couple is open to a brand partnership with the new owners. "We are still looking to distribute our beer recipes under The Blonde Brewer name with the help of another brewery," said Jaron. "We are also open to a brand partnership to help the new brewery."
Jaron and Maggie are also working with the city to incorporate food trucks as another food option on the property.
