Florida Bereans Announce Entry Into UFL-X For Season 2, Aiming For A Legacy Of Transformation

In just one electrifying season, the Florida Bereans, composed of players and coaches from the greater Miami area, forged a remarkable identity: a (6-1) EAFL AA Division record, competitive cross-division play and a hard-earned playoff berth. With a culture built on football, faith, and brotherhood, they are poised to take the next monumental leap, entering the Universal Football League Xtreme (UFL-X) for Season 2.

The UFL-X, Florida-based and dedicated to providing an adult amateur tackle-football stage with NFL style rules, is structured with development opportunities, national media exposure, and returns in 2026 after its recent revitalization. The Bereans, still brand new but already bursting with momentum, are ready to make waves.

At the heart of the Florida Bereans lies their creed, rooted in James 1:22—“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” Their mission is bold: “to transform men into spiritual leaders in their homes, fields and their communities. Through football, faith and brotherhood, we fight against depression, addiction, fatherlessness, and suicide by creating a gospel-led culture of accountability, hope, and purpose in Christ. Our mission is not only to win games but to win souls for the Kingdom of God.” floridabereans.com/home.

Now, as owner David Bozza and Head Coach Mike Bergdorf prepare for UFL-X competition, the team has called upon all prospective players to join their journey; inviting them to home base at the Calvary Plantation Campus in West Broward where the vision and expectations both on and off the field will be unveiled.

Returning players and new recruits are drawn to more than the game; they are joining a brotherhood, “steadfast on building from a good season, to be even greater, character first,” as the Bereans affirm. Bozza said, “This is an opportunity to build something that can last a lifetime, propelling individuals to additionally conquer opportunities off the field through our vision.”

On the brink of their second season, the Florida Bereans stand ready to embrace the UFL-X challenge. Their goal: not just another winning record, but a legacy of transformed lives, on the field, in their communities, and for the Kingdom.
