On November 22, the parallel session titled “China–Foreign Cultural and Tourism Exchange & Mutual Learning Conference” was held in Chengdu as part of the 2025 Global Panda Partners Conference. Guang’an, Sichuan, showcased its cultural tourism brand “Hometown of Xiaoping · Leisurely Guang’an.”

A cultural tourism ambassador from the Guang’an Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism introduced Guang’an’s revolutionary heritage, ecological beauty, and local cultural charm to friends from around the world, extending a warm invitation: “Welcome to Xiaoping's Hometown: Experience the Leisurely Charm of Splendid Sichuan”

Guang’an is home to attractions such as the Xiaoping’s Former Residence Tourist Area, Guang’an Sleepless City, and Yankou Ancient Town. It is not only a key center of red culture in eastern Sichuan, but also one of the habitats of giant pandas. During the conference’s “Culture & Tourism + Hundred Industries” featured brand release session, Guang’an presented the case of Huaying Mountain’s establishment of a Panda Garden, which has successfully welcomed star pandas such as Linxi and Yijia. This showcased Guang’an’s innovative transformation toward a tourism model featuring free public access, immersive experiences, and educational programs.

The Huaying Mountain Giant Panda Garden is built around panda conservation, breaking away from the traditional “view-from-a-distance” model of panda exhibits. It features a 700-meter-long science education corridor and a network of walking trails, enabling visitors to observe pandas up close and immerse themselves in their natural behaviors within a “natural oxygen bar.” The park also connects with nearby attractions such as the Huaying Mountain Stone Forest and Guerrilla Forces Historical Site, creating integrated routes themed around “Red Culture + Panda Ecology.” This synergy empowers both revolutionary education and ecological tourism. In addition, the park has developed a “Panda Guardian” series of experiential learning programs, allowing young people to deepen their awareness of ecological conservation through interactive activities.
