Korea's Leading EdTech Expo 'EdTech Korea Fair' held by KETIA and KOTRA

The 2026 EdTech Korea Fair (September 17–19, COEX) is Korea's flagship comprehensive edtech exhibition, co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Education and organized by KETIA (Korea Edutech Industry Association) and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), among others. Going beyond a simple technology showcase, the fair has established itself as a core business platform combining the government's edtech industry development policy with its overseas export support strategy.

During the fair, KETIA and KOTRA held an export consultation event in conjunction with the exhibition, conducting two days of on-site consultations through demand-based pre-matching between 40 domestic export companies and 17 overseas buyer companies from 6 countries, generating meaningful export outcomes.

Building on these results, the government and related agencies are now launching follow-up support programs both domestically and abroad. Domestically, tailored follow-up support for export companies will be provided through "Boom-Up Korea Week" (October 21–22, KINTEX), Korea's largest comprehensive export consultation event, hosted by KOTRA. In addition, KOTRA plan to wrap up this year's support program with overseas consultations through the ‘2026 Tokyo EdTech Roadshow’ (November 26–27, 2026 (Thu–Fri)).

On the US expansion front, 15 of the 40 companies that participated in the export consultation event drew particular attention after being selected to join the "Global Market Accelerating program (GMEP)" run by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED). These companies achieved tangible results during the fair, including productive consultations with overseas buyers and a Minister's Award from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, while securing references for investment attraction ahead of their full-scale entry into the U.S. market. The 15 companies are set to take part in a program run by U.S. open innovation accelerator Mind the Bridge from September 28 to October 23.

Meanwhile, KETIA has been selected for the fourth consecutive year as the organization overseeing the Ministry of SMEs and KISED Global Accelerating support program, providing systematic support for domestic startups' global investment attraction and business expansion — from domestic pre-departure training to company-specific overseas expansion strategy development and connection with local programs.
