Veteran intelligence leader with roots at the CIA, Fidelity Investments, Recorded Future, and Halcyon joins iCOUNTER to lead the company's global intelligence operations

iCOUNTER, the leader in Third-Party Risk Intelligence and Counter Threat Operations, today announced the appointment of Maggie McDaniel as Global Head of Intelligence. Mrs. McDaniel brings more than two decades of intelligence leadership spanning public and private sector organizations, and will lead iCOUNTER's global intelligence strategy and operations as the company scales to meet growing demand for precision threat intelligence.

Mrs. McDaniel has more than 20 years of experience in intelligence, spanning public and private sector leadership roles at the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, Fidelity Investments, Recorded Future, and, most recently, Halcyon. At Recorded Future, she served as Head of Intelligence for more than eight years, where she built out Insikt Group, the company's threat research and intelligence division. Her focus has been on delivering intelligence-led solutions that reduce business risk.

"Maggie brings exactly the kind of intelligence leadership that companies operating at the intersection of national security and emerging technology require," said John Watters, Chairman and CEO of iCOUNTER. "Her background spanning government and private sector intelligence gives her a rare vantage point on how threats form and how organizations should respond to them. As iCOUNTER continues to scale, her ability to build and lead a world-class intelligence function will be essential to how we grow and operate."

As Global Head of Intelligence, Mrs. McDaniel will oversee iCOUNTER's global intelligence function, working across the company's collection, analysis, and customer-facing teams to deliver the precision, ecosystem-aware intelligence that underpins iCOUNTER's Counter Threat Operations System (CTOS). She will serve as a close partner to the CEO and the broader organization on intelligence strategy, capability-building, and customer engagement.

"iCOUNTER is solving a problem that matters at the highest levels of national security and enterprise risk," said Maggie McDaniel. "The threat environment has fundamentally shifted, and organizations need intelligence capabilities that move as fast as the adversaries they are up against. I am excited to build an intelligence function that allows iCOUNTER to operate at that pace and scale."

Mrs. McDaniel's experience establishing and scaling Insikt Group at Recorded Future directly informs how she builds intelligence functions built for speed and precision, an increasingly critical capability as iCOUNTER expands its work with public sector and critical infrastructure customers.

"What sets Maggie apart is that she thinks like an exceptional leader and operator," added Watters. "She has built and run intelligence functions inside organizations navigating classified requirements, commercial risk, and national security demands simultaneously. That experience is exactly what we need as we define the next chapter of iCOUNTER."
