Avangrid Honored for Excellence in Information Sharing by Homeland Security Today

Avangrid recognized with GTSC’s (The Government Technology & Services Coalition) Homeland Security Today’s 2025 Holiday Hero Award

Avangrid, Inc., a leading energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, today announced its Corporate Security and Resilience Office has been recognized with the 2025 Holiday Hero Award for Excellence in Information Sharing – Corporate by Homeland Security Today. Homeland Security Today is the premier non-profit information source for homeland security news, analysis, and insights.

The Holiday Hero Awards celebrate individuals and organizations across federal, state, local, and private sectors who demonstrate exceptional leadership and innovation in safeguarding the nation. Avangrid was selected from hundreds of nominations for its proactive approach to information sharing, collaboration, and resilience planning across its utility operations serving 3.4 million customers in New York and New England.

The Homeland Security Holiday Hero Awards were established to recognize the many disciplines that contribute to the homeland security mission, including cybersecurity, infrastructure protection, intelligence, and emergency response. This year’s ceremony will take place on December 11, 2025, in Occoquan, Virginia, and is open to the entire homeland security community.
