Four more Day 1 flights scheduled, starting this Thursday.

SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / January 21, 2026 / Americas Cardroom announced a massive opening flight for its January 2026 $8 million guaranteed Mystery Bounty Venom NLH tournament, as Day 1A drew 912 entries.

The turnout represents the largest Day 1A field for the NLH Mystery Bounty Venom in recent years, putting the famous poker tourney on pace to again top its $8 million guarantee.

By comparison, the August 2024 NLH Mystery Bounty Venom opened with 847 entries on Day 1A and concluded with an $8.08 million prize pool. The January 2025 edition recorded 842 Day 1A entries and finished at $8.79 million, while August 2025 opened with 740 entries and closed at $8.48 million.

"The numbers reflect the continued growth of large-scale online poker tournaments," said Chris Moneymaker, Americas Cardroom Pro and former WSOP champ. "The Venom has become a marquee event on the calendar, and this start indicates strong player confidence in the format and the platform."

Following Day 1A, BuenaHistoriA leads all surviving players with 9,104,446 chips. Yang Gang Bang and BALDOUS round out the top three stacks with 7,469,896 and 7,183,516 chips, respectively.

The NLH Venom runs concurrently with the $2 million guaranteed PLO Mystery Bounty Venom, the largest Omaha tournament ever offered by Americas Cardroom. Mystery bounty payouts begin on Day 2 in both events, starting at $5,000, with top prizes of $500,000 for the NLH and $200,000 for the PLO.

Four additional Day 1 flights remain on the schedule, starting this Thursday, January 22nd. Players may enter multiple flights, combine stacks for Day 2, and are guaranteed to be in the money once the tournament resumes.

Additional low-cost and $0 qualification opportunities are available through Venom Fever Satellites and the newly launched Venom Vault feature within the Americas Cardroom client.
